Blow-Up proudly provided music for Up the Academy and Jody served as music supervisor for the movie. Robert Downey, Sr. directed the movie which was written by Tom Pachett and Jay Tarses who wrote for the Carol Burnett show and the Bob Newhart show. Up the Academy was shot in Los Angeles and in Salina, Kansas. The movie was released on June 6, 1980.
